My POW! (Product of the Week)

Hi everyone, I know this isn't the normal DIY, but I'm going to start posting weekly cool and useful products that I discovered to share them with you! I'm going to call it the Product of the Week (POW for short).

Recently, I've been kind of obsessed witth organization, and I found these great items to organize my jewelry. I know it's supposed to be Product of the Week (singular), but these two kind of go together.

My Product(s) of the Week are:

1. Picture Frame Earring Holder from Target: I love this because it's a beautiful aquamarine color, perfect for brightening up your vanity or table. I also love that it's a multipurpose item: it can frame a cute photo of your family, your friends, or just yourself while doubling as an easy storage place to hang your earrings.

2. Fashion Model Jewelry Holder from Hobby Lobby: I saw this in store and fell in love with the bow tiered dress and was more in love when I realized it was a jewelry holder. This neat little fashion model hangs your necklaces, bracelets, and earrings without getting them all tangled (ew!).

OK, that's all I wanted to share with you guys today.

Thanks so much! Tell me any suggestions, what you liked, and if you bought the products or not.
If you liked it, please share it with your friends, and don't forget to drop a comment!

DIY Easy High-Waisted Denim and Lace Shorts

(Sorry for being inactive this past year, but I'm back with this new diy! )

No-Sew DIY High-Waisted Denim Lace Shorts

Turn your plain denim high-waisted shorts into these cute lacy ones with this easy DIY!

You'll need:

  • High-Waisted Shorts - I got mine for about $15 at Charlotte Russe
  • Lace Fabric
  • Washable Marker or Pen
  • Scissors
  • (not pictured) Hot glue gun

How to:

1. Align the lace fabric on one side of the shorts.

2. Using the washable marker/pen, trace the pockets and along the top edge of the frayed hem.

3. Cut along the lines you made.

4. Do the same to the sides of the fabric (trace and cut).

Now it should look something like this:

5. Take the piece of fabric and wash off any blue lines you can still see.

6. Time to hot glue! I hot glued it rather strategically - I tried to put the hot glue under the solid areas of the lace fabric. I have included a diagram on where I hot glued it:

Diagram of where to hot glue. Red dots mark the spots.
I'm using the marker to add pressure on the fabric.
7. Cut out a little square on the top edge of the fabric for the belt buckle.

Finished Product! Yay! :)
