DIY Easy High-Waisted Denim and Lace Shorts

(Sorry for being inactive this past year, but I'm back with this new diy! )

No-Sew DIY High-Waisted Denim Lace Shorts

Turn your plain denim high-waisted shorts into these cute lacy ones with this easy DIY!

You'll need:

  • High-Waisted Shorts - I got mine for about $15 at Charlotte Russe
  • Lace Fabric
  • Washable Marker or Pen
  • Scissors
  • (not pictured) Hot glue gun

How to:

1. Align the lace fabric on one side of the shorts.

2. Using the washable marker/pen, trace the pockets and along the top edge of the frayed hem.

3. Cut along the lines you made.

4. Do the same to the sides of the fabric (trace and cut).

Now it should look something like this:

5. Take the piece of fabric and wash off any blue lines you can still see.

6. Time to hot glue! I hot glued it rather strategically - I tried to put the hot glue under the solid areas of the lace fabric. I have included a diagram on where I hot glued it:

Diagram of where to hot glue. Red dots mark the spots.
I'm using the marker to add pressure on the fabric.
7. Cut out a little square on the top edge of the fabric for the belt buckle.

Finished Product! Yay! :)
